SOCK WARS 2006

This has been such a fascinating journey!! I know that I am competitive (1st born) but my desire to "kill" has definately taken me by surprise, having spent 2 hours in the wee small hours of this morning (I'm talking 2am until 4am), after a 10 hour catering shift, trying to finish off sock #1! Utter madness.

Suffice to say I think I have made it in to the next round. No pictures as I am away from my cameras software and connecting leads, but both sock #1 and #2 will be in the mail first thing Monday morning. Time to get back to the trenches

FO's

I think one of the reasons I have not blogged before is because I didn't think I had the time, and I am wondering if iwas right!!

But amidst the chaos of my thesis, I have managed to focus on finishing some WIPs. So, voila...

Pomatomus in Lorna's Laces shepherd sock yarn (Bittersweet colourway).

These were a slightly belated birthday present for my sister, who absolutely loves them. They were also my first completed pair of adult socks, so a satifying achievment also.

I finished Shriek (in Rowanspun DK, sugar almond) a while ago, but until recently had not been inspired to display it (who know's why, really!!), but it got an airing today and I felt quietly proud.

And finally, proof that I am not going to submit to the SSS and will finish my Jaywalkers...
